Introducing: Hearts & Hands Podcast

What happens when you put a bunch of toddlers together in a room? (Okay, stop cringing, it doesn’t have to be chaos.) They play. They learn. Watching each other, mimicking each other. If you pay attention, you’ll see ideas transfer from one to the next. Before too long, (and if you can resist the temptation to ‘lead’) the children will create bigger and more complex things together than when they are alone. Just by being together, communicating in the ways they know.

Now. What happens if you put a bunch of super creative, gifted, God-minded people together and call it a workshop?

Same thing.

It was at a recent Hearts & Hands Workshop in Milwaukee, WI that many found their tribe, or reconnected. One of those people was Bread for Beggars Curator, Pastor Mark Parsons. Mark’s experience at the Hearts & Hands Workshop was one of the major forces driving the relaunch of the Bread for Beggars website. Many of the artists, musicians, and storytellers that will be featured are part of this growing community.

Bringing it full circle

The Community of WELS Creatives is a group of Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS) members who are passionate about using their God-given creativity in service to the church. This relatively new group exists to provide ways for these people to connect, encourage, and collaborate with each other. They are now partnering in producing the Hearts & Hands Podcast, which will be a great tool to keep this going year-round. We at Bread for Beggars are extremely excited for the release of the first ever episodes of the Hearts & Hands Podcast. We hope you enjoy the creative collaboration.
