Zach Unke
Pianist and composer Zach Unke has been playing piano for as long as he can remember. “Music is a part of who I am, and sharing that music is my mission in life. I can’t
Zach writes sheet music to be used in church, as well as recording and releasing albums of solo piano music. He’s worked in bars, hotels, and restaurants as a cocktail pianist and has served several different congregations as a worship accompanist.
“No matter where you find it, my music shows my love of the piano as well as my love for my Savior.”
As much of Zach’s work is hymn-based arrangements, he takes inspiration from each hymn’s text. “I also am influenced by the music I listen to, incorporating a lot of Celtic and pop music sounds into my writing,” Zach says. “Outside of hymn-based music, I draw from nature and the world around me. Writing music has helped me to see and hear the beauty in everything. ”

You can find Zach’s music in music stores, online at iTunes and Amazon, and on streaming services like Pandora, Youtube, and Spotify.
When asked about the challenges of the music industry, Zach offers this advice:
If you’re struggling to find inspiration, I suggest changing things up. I like to change pianos, change locations, and even change projects. Just physically switching things up can help trigger that creative spark in your mind. Find your voice. There’s a lot of music out there. Perfect your craft and find your niche. Make yourself stand out.

Zach has written and recorded four solo piano albums and has had music published by several different publishers.
