The Good Shepherd Inspires Us to Follow by Jonathan Hein

The Fourth Sunday of Easter in the Lutheran Church is commonly called Good Shepherd Sunday, a day to reflect on Jesus in the role of Shepherd of us, his flock of sheep. Jesus leads us on, not with poking and prodding but with words, the Word, and we follow him, not because he forces us to, but because he inspires us to.
